Re-draw types...
Well if you study the existing commercial karaoke discs, you'll notice that there are really only two different types of 're-drawing' the graphics...
Type 1
This is the type currently used in Karaoke Home Producer. This allows 'sung' lines to be erased while 'unsung' lines are still being sung. It's similar to the technique used by DK, which DK called Edit-A-Vision. The basis principle of this is to allow new words to appear and old ones to disappear within a single 'screen' if you like. There are other varieties of this, such as Music Maestro graphics, where each lines disappears immediately after it has been sung (in most cases).
Type 2
This is the type used by Sunfly. The words on the screen do not 'erase' in the same way that they appear. Each page of lyrics stays as a page and there is no 'in-page editing'. Once all the words on that particular screen/page have been sung, then the entire screen immediately turns black (or whatever the background colour may be) and the new words stars to 'draw' on to the screen. This is much quicker than the method used in KHPro because it eliminates the time taken to clear away the 'sung' words, they're all removed instantly in a split second.
I'm hazarding a guess here, but I think that Karaoke Pro is capability of selecting between both types of sweep removal. My evidence for this is that we know Sound Choice owns at least 1 Karaoke Pro terminal, and all Sound Choice songs used Type 2 CD+G removal. (Correct me if I'm wrong).
What we need to introduce into KHPro is a switch to toggle between both types of 're-drawing'.
