How could it possibly be your work? You're still using the instrumental aren't you? The producer holds a copywrite on the entire work, not just a portion thereof.

If you make a cdg disk using Vogone and that you got the music from a commercial disk, you are using the arrangement that you didn't pay the rights to do this in the first place. When you purchased the commercial cd you bought the right to use it & making a back up if necessary which we already went thru this... but you did not purchase the right to use this arrangement to create a cdg disk!
Let's use this example: You buy a commercial cd from Michael Bubble (Hope the name is right), we all know he sings songs that are not his, so therefore he had to pay the right for the songs, right? So if you take his cd and than remove his voice to create your cdg, did you get Michael's permission??? He paid for it not you. Now, if you wish to add lyrics to your own cdg, did you get the permission to do that? Why do you think sometimes we can't find some good songs on cdg, in some cases, they just can't get permission to use the lyrics to build the cdg disk.
