In my opinion, it would be illegal to remove the vocal from a commercial cd & add Lyrics so you can have a cdg disk! Company's who make cdg's are suppose to pay for the rights of the song & get permission to add the lyrics to it.

I bought a cdg (Elton John) and on one song on it doesn't have the lyrics because they could't get the license for it.

Now, if you do this for your own at home no risk but it's like using a good cdg that you bought & blend your voice in it so you can than burn your own disk & give it to friends or worst sell it, it's illegal if you didn't purchase the right from the manufacture of the cdg & pay the license to sell it!!
