Connect this computer to the Internet. Then click on the Start Menu\Windows Update. Make sure that you download all of the Windows Updates, your computer has a missing file that is causing this.

Make sure that you download the Windows Media Player 9 or 10, and DirectX 9.0x. With these updates in the system and all the others you should be up and running.
