I use these settings:
background - black
text before sweep- red
text after sweep- white
I believe in the

Simple
Stupid
formula for me.
I've also found the less lines per screen
you use the better it looks.
I use 2 lines on most of my songs or have started doing that since the last three songs I'v done in the last week or so.
