Read the manual topic in the TOC on File Names. You will see we DO support the .bin file extension... when we make an entire disc copy. That is the appropriate use of .bin.
However, for individual tracks, you cannot safely assume what is INSIDE the file is a true CDG format unless there is a .cdg extension on it... at least as MTU uses the .cdg, not as the MP3+G developers use it for only graphics/lyrics data with no audio. Their use of .cdg is WRONG as it is NOT a true CDG karaoke file format.
There is true engineering design, and then there is "do what feels good" design. We try to always do things the RIGHT WAY.
