Norm is correct. We would recommend a total uninstall of 2.209 and then reinstall it again.

PLEASE NOTE! Run 2.209 to UNINSTALL the prior version. DO NOT use Windows Control Panel Add/Remove programs. When you allow 2.209 to remove, we save all your entered demographics and Registration Code so you don't have to enter them again.

We are close to releasing 2.212 which might be better on the dropouts. We did a massive study, understanding and rework of the multiple Threads that are operating while Hoster is running. We found some very powerful techniques to make Hoster's threads run higher than the standard Windows OS threads to insure we get the samples we need... when we need them instead of Windows sweeping the disc, managing the power, etc. that "IT" thinks is important to do during your show.

We have not touched the CDGPlayer code which draws the graphic images for the video. This code was maximized years ago to handle every known CDG disc problem, such as fade-ins and fade-outs on the title and credit pages. This code should be clean. I find it very hard to believe it is the code, and currently believe it is a system related problem.

FIRST... uninstall with 2.209, then reinstall 2.209 and see if the problem persists.

SECOND... run dxdiag on your computer and attach it to your post in this thread. When you create a new post, you can find the Attach File Browse button and field below the edit window where you type your post.

THIRD... will someone please attach their .kma file of a phm song that is causing dropouts? You will have to ZIP it to be able to add it to your post as an attachment (only certain file extensions are allowed as attachments). Then, we can try YOUR FILE to see what we find. If we can create the problem, we can solve it. However, as others are testifying that they don't see the problem, this strongly indicates it is a SYSTEM INSTALLATION problem.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND... we are NOT trying to shirk our responsibilities. However, if we can't duplicate the problem, we can't fix it. ALSO... if you don't provide information about your computer, there is nothing we can do to help you. Nreel is totally correct in his first AND SECOND request that you provide information about your computer. The dxdiag will give us most of this, so run it and attach the log output to your post. We all want to help you run professional shows, but we need you to do what we ask you to do.

Hoster 2.212 is EXPECTED to release (read not committed so don't ask if it isn't) Friday this week. Watch the News Page for the announcement, and the home page also.

[b]If some of you will attach a KMA file to your post, we can test them here at MTU. If we have 3-4 to test with, that gives us a good confidence on our results. If we see the video and audio problems, we can solve them.
