without knowing anything else about your system, try this. Shut down your computer and restart. if you have an external CD drive, make sure it is powered up before you open Hoster. Then, once you open Hoster, go to the tools menue and select, detect drives, you should see your CD+G capable drive listed there, make sure it is selected, and not some other CD player, or none at all.
