Hello All,
I too have used Sound Canvas since I picked up the original thread, some time ago and also read George's detailed prose on the subject, it is great!!!
One thing I have found is that your computer is different from everyone elses, even down to batches made by the same manufacturer.
Bios's being set up improperly
Hardware and software clashes.
Some things just don't work on some computers.
Some clash with other programmes.
Some programmes have glitches in them.
You might just have a rogue copy of Sound Canvas.
I have also made the most stupid mistakes setting up some programmes which caused things not to run properly or at all.
Despite the number of people who say they run multiple programes etc. without any problems, I would limit these.
I have invested in a hard drive which only contains MTU products and programmes I can run in conjunction with them. (midi. files, SC, mp3, wav and midi converters).
If you only have one Hard Drive its amazing how much junk, adware, spyware, demo's are loaded on it.
Installing a new Hard Disc is probably the most painless way to go as you don't need a huge one and they have become very cheap.
I would urge you to stick with Sound Canvas, there are alteratives but just check the amount you will have to spend on them
Regards from across the pond.
