Our beta testers demanded the Enter key add the track also. And we tried, and tried and we tried. In a Tabbed Window (which the Playlist is), there is a bug in Windows and we never came up with a direct fix for it.
However... if you read the manual on adding tracks, you will see there is a simple work-around that is not too painful.
As to our forcing the Singer's name, if you don't want to enter one... all you have to do is hit the space bar to insert a BLANK character and keep going.
You don't have to enter TEXT characters. One of our betas pointed that out to all of us. Sometimes we just get too wrapped up in our "fixed thinking" to come outside the box.
Try it, you'll like it.
As soon as we can afford the time, we will work on rearchitecting Hoster to remove the Tabbed Window we now how. It is not a trivial task or it would be gone already! This also prevents our hot keys from working. We have spent many thousand's of dollars trying to overcome this Windows limitation also. Darn... I thought they had the best OS in the world.
