I'm using the 7500 and am running DirectX 9.0b.
bdayton, what are you initially seeing on the tv ? If you're seeing shortcuts, toolbars, etc, you're in CLONE mode for sure, and not EXTENDED DESKTOP.You should only see the wallpaper in extended desktop.
