When I asked Edirol if they could help I was told that it was no good if you were using a firewall or an antivirus or too many other programmes as they could interfere with VSC.
This answer was probably correct, and I agree with Jon and Mlepine it is more than likely too many programs running in the background, especially now that I see an AMD processor. I have nothing against AMD, but due to some patents held by Intel, AMD is forced to rely on the operating system to perform some functions that the processor ordinarily would handle. This puts a drain on the system. This is the way my PC Guru expained it to me.

All those cute little symbols on the lower right hand toolbar are orunning in the background. Close out any that you really never use or need access to when using other programs.

Click START, RUN, type in MSCONFIG, click OK. Click the START UP tab. and uncheck the programs that aren't really needed. That could be most all of them except SYSTRAY itself. Leave that one on.

Hope this gets it. If not, at least the system has been cleaned up from unnecessary running programs.
