Jim,
Here is what you should try to fix this:

1) Right click on the My Computer icon on your Desktop.

2) Left click Properties.

3) Left click the Advanced Tab.

4) Left click the Settings Button under the Startup and Recovery Section.

5) Make sure there are checks in the boxes next to "Time to display list of operating systems:" and "Time to display recovery options when needed:".

On the Right side of this, they both should be set to as long as you would like to wait. I think the Default is 30 seconds. You can change this to shorter if you wish.

6) Click the Ok button. Then click the Ok button one more time to get out of the System Properties. Reboot your system if it doesn't ask you to.

Let me know if this does or doesn't work.
