Sorry I have read so many threads I thought you had a laptop.
mlepine is correct internal drives are cheaper and are really easy to fit, even for a novice.
Just make sure you anti-static yourself before handling and fitting.
I use a length of copper wire around my wrist and fastened to the casing of my computer.
