Frank,
Your system is reporting one hard drive(C: and one disk drive(D

.
If you had two hard drives C: and D: and the disk drive was E:, something has corrupted the system.
Since you have a Windows XP operating system, you could try doing a system restore. This could put your settings back as they were when everything was working unless a restore just can't handle whatever changed.
To do a system restore, open MY COMPUTER.
Click HELP at the top of the screen.
Click HELP AND SUPPORT CENTER at the top of the screen.
Click PICK A TASK.
Click UNDO CHANGES WITH SYSTEM RESTORE.
Make sure the RESTORE MY COMPUTER TO AN EARLIER TIME button is selected and click NEXT.
You can click on any day in Feb. you want, or by clicking the left arrow at the top of the calendar you can go to Jan. Pick a date you know things were working properly and click on it. Then click NEXT on the bottom of the screen.
On the screen that pops up click NEXT to start the system restore.
A word of CAUTION. Any new programs installed, or any changes made to the system since the restore date you choose will be lost, and have to be re-installed, or re-done, so try to pick the nearest date to this time that you remember things working as they should.
I didn't know if you knew you could restore or not and went through it to save you some time in case you weren't familiar with it.
take care,
George
