That Big Band Sound
I recently picked up a four disc compilation by Pocket Songs of Frank Sinatra tunes. I got it for a bargain, but I must say that this is an uneven mix. Some songs have a kicking legitimate Big Band sound; others are clearly sythesized instruments. (even songs from the same original discs are not orchestrated similarly)
The Pioneer CDGs that I have and the LD's that I remember always seem to have real instruments. Anybody else??
