you probably need to be more specific on what you are running for a computer.

for audio, you use the output from the sound card where you now connect the speakers.

for video you can if you have a video card with s-video, or rca video out. that is where the video comes out. Most laptops have an s-video output on them. a lot of desktops will require a new video card to do it. A good one can be purchased for about $50.00

or you can use the single monitor output that all video cards have if it is for your own home use.
