I'm not speaking for the company but this is what I've gleened.

Hoster2.014 can be run on multiple machines (one at a time) by registering the software to a usb ethernet device that can be moved from machine to machine.
The Hoster upgrade 2.1 however will be registered to a particular machine much the same way Microsoft does with their new products.

My advice would be to purchase 2.014 , get a usb ethernet adaptor and install it on both machines, after you're up and running get the upgrade for the machine you're going to use for performing (who knows how long they will support 2.014 if it needs to be reinstalled for some reason, and who knows how long the upgrade will remain at $50.)
