Exclamation Let's do things right

I suggest when you install a new Windows that you start fresh:

Format the drive in NTFS than install Windows XP, do all the updates including service Pack 1. Take ALL updates no exception & than install all your software.

The only problem you might have is with your SB Live if you take the update driver from Windows, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT WE EVER TAKE AN AUDIO OR VIDEO DRIVER FROM MICROSOFT!
The SB Live is beginning to be a problem today, Creative build so many different version that one model will have sound problem, another one will have problem with the recorder... I think it's time for Creative to let go that model, it's time to offer the Audigy line or the old and efficient basic model.

XP well install is so stable & so much faster than installed over a previous version (Upgrade option).

Good luck
