Windows XP
Where do I start? I've had all of my software from MTU; Karaoke Home Prod. 2.009, Vogone 2.014, Keyrite 1.202 and Microstudio 2.312 on my computer for 2 years and worked great for copying CDG's. I also have 2 Plextor R/W drives which I also ordered from MTU. I used one drive, 40/12/40A, as a read drive. I used the other, 12/10/32A, as the Writer. I had both on the Seconday IDE controller, with the 12/10/32A drive as Master. That set-up worked fine for recording. I am running Wins 98 SE.
But my processor started locking up so I decided to move this hard-drive to another computer. I also moved the 2 Plextor drives. At this point, nothing had changed on the Hard Drive. But I had a lot of trouble getting the hard drive to work on the other computer. I had a Creative Sound Blaster Sound Card, an ISA Modem Card, a Video Card already in this computer. But the Windows 98 SE in the the replacement Hard Drive wouldn't recognize any of these things or find drivers. I was having nothing but trouble, even when I used the CD's that came with the product cards.
So I thought I could eliminate the problem by upgrading to XP Home Edition. I disconnected the sound card and the modem and removed them Add/Remove Programs. After the 2nd attempt, Wins finally loaded and was up & running. My problem now is, when I click to open Disc Dupe 2000 or Audio Capture, I get a message that says "no CD Rom or CDRW were found. Both CD players are working because I've used both to load software.
Now my final question, which I suppose could have eliminated this lengthy message is, do I need to upgrade the Micro Studio software to work with Wins XP? Or do I need up-dated drivers for the 2 Plextor drives?
I appreciate and thank anyone who takes the time to read all of this but will be more thankful to anyone who can offer a solution.
