Go to the Manufacturers website for your Sound Card and get the very latest drivers that they have. This should fix the problem. Most you can move up to Basic Acceleration and it will work, instead of choosing None. None will not allow the Sound Card to correctly work.

If this is not the case, then make sure that you have all the updates for Windows from the Microsoft Update site, you can get to this by clicking your Start Menu, Windows Update, while online. Select all of the update and install them.
