How much Ram do you have allocated to the Nvidia chip as Video Memory?
This is a setting that is in the CMOS, you can get to it by hitting the Delete Key when the system boots up. It is then located under the Advanced Chipset Features (Page 55 in the manual). I always leave our systems set at default for the Frame Buffer Size = 32M and AGP Aperture Size(MB) = 32M.
You could try playing around with this and changing it up to 64 for both to see if that will make any difference.
You can check this to make sure the change took, by running the DXDIAG in the Run command. Then click on the Display Tab, it should show Total Aprox Memory as whatever you have changed this to.
