First, MTU would have to pay $5,000 royalties EVERY YEAR to THompson CSF in France to even use MP3, not including licensing good MP3 code for playback.
Won't happen! 
Second, we are adding .wma file import and playback in version 2.1, and a way to import .cdg and .wav files on the hard drive into Hoster. Thus, if you have .mp3 files, convert them to .wav, then import them to Hoster.
