Jadams is correct on this drive. The problem is that the drive is saying that it supports the CD+G format, which it did for sure under 98 and ME. What is happening is Microstudio is sending the CD+G commands to the drive it is not understanding what to do with them under XP. This is why you get the error stating "Illegal Command Request". The drive doesn't know what you are asking it to do, so this is why it is not working.

I don't think you will beable to get this drive to work under XP with Microstudio.
