When you say you did all the updates, did it update to Windows 10?
If so it could be you need to update the graphics and audio drivers.
You say it does not happen in windows media player, I did not think you could play karaoke lyrics in media player (unless you have some other software plugin)?
So are you saying Hoster does this when playing mp3 files as well ?

You could try changing the settings for audio dropouts, I no longer have 5.1 so can't tell you how to navigate to them but there should be some settings to alter, the default is 10 but a higher number should stop dropouts unless yours is a driver issue.
