Hope this helps. I don't know how much music theory you know but each step in Hoster is 1/2 step. In other words if you are in C and you go down to -1 you will be in the key of B. An example would be if you start in C, you would have to go down to -5 for G if I did my math right. From C to go up to G instead of down you would have to go to +7 and Hoster only goes to +5. Hope this helps.
