Now, I was running Hoster on both machines with no problems until I tried to upgrade. I only have two computers. Well, when I did the install I selected uninstall Hoster. I thought then I would be able to reinstall 5.40. But no, I still get same response. It redirects me to MTU website. Registration code and computer name is correct. I have been waiting 3 days for a response from MTU but as of now, notta! Is there any way I can get either versions reinstalled on my laptop? I have a gig coming up and need this done.

It sounds like you lucked out with the desktop. They have been saying that you need to uninstall Hoster while online before you upgrade to Windows 10 or you may have the results you got with the laptop. Have you submitted a support ticket?
