Re: Updating ID Tags in KMA Files?

I think a lot of your problems might stem from the time you used to paste the excel file.

The only way I know to edit the kma file name permanently is through Hosters own edit dialog.

The only thing you can't edit is Disc ID & Book ID, there was a version released that did allow altering these fields but was stopped in later versions as it caused more problems than it solved.

When you edit a kma file in Hoster it re writes that into the header of the kma.

Trying to use any other software to manipulate Hosters songs.mdb file will not be permanent because Hoster builds the database from the kma data, the database does not write that info back into the kma.

With regards to your disc id changing it was most likely resulted from a time you rebuilt the database and it found duplicated disc id which it will not allow so depending which version you have may ask if you want to merge or not, merging will allocate a new disc id. Not merging will leave one copy in place but not import the duplicate. The one it leaves in place might not necessarily be the one you expected.
