The wording can vary with versions, I'm using the latest version and from the top menu select Import songs then Index song files, earlier versions it was something like import HD files but you should arrive at a dialog to import your tracks.

Your files have to be on the hard drive you can't import them strait off the original VCD or DVD's, so as I stated in previous post you have to rip DVD with another software but VCD you can normally just copy the .dat files but you will have to name the files yourself as they are usually just track #.
