I'm wondering if somehow Microstudio got into your start up configuration.
Click START, RUN, and type in MSCONFIG
Click on START tab.
If there's anything there that even remotely looks like it could be Microstudio or MTU releted, uncheck it.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to uncheck anything you really don't need running in the background while you're in there. Just make certain to leave SYS TRAY checked.
You may already know to do this, but I don't know that, and am saving you time, if you don't.
