I did notice that something's were greyed our on the submenu when I right mouse button clicked on the singers song.

But the next song in the playlist, I click on the singers song in the playlist, the submenu comes up and nothing is greyed out, even though I changed the name and hit enter before trying to add to the singers database.

Then sometimes by restarting Hoster this would work 1 time and only 1 time no matter what singer or how I added a new singer's name.
Try this just in case my previous instructions were not clear.

1. Open the "search window". Now check up top and see if a singer is listed. It should have a singer by default, the first singer in your singers list. If there is a singer listed highlight the singer and hit the delete button on your computer for the purpose of this example. Now there should be no singer listed.

2. Search for a song and hit the add button (NOT the S+ button). This should place the song in your playlist.

3. The song should now be in the playlist but should have no singer listed. If you highlight the SONG at this point and then right click on it, should get a pop up window and the only thing grayed out should be "add song". If this is correct, click anywhere outside the pop up window to close it and go to the singers column to the left of the song while the song is STILL highlighted and double click on where the singer would be if you had selected a singer from the search window. After you double click you have a whited out area where a singer would have been. To right of this area you will see a arrow pointing down. If you click on that arrow it will give you a menu showing all the singers in your singers data base if you have any. Ok, now you have the choice of either highlighting a existing singer in your data base or typing in a new singer. For right now, type in TEST SINGER. Now hit ENTER. It should now show TEST SINGER in the singers column next to the song and the whole line should be highlighted. NOW if you RIGHT click on the song, you should get a pop up window and one of the items listed should be "add to TEST SINGER songs". If you click on this item it should now add the song to your singers data base and if you open your singers list you should find "TEST SINGER" added to your list and show the song you just added.

4. Now if you wanted to add another song to TEST SINGER's list you would double click on the singers column in the playlist and this time just start typing TEST and your TEST SINGER should fill in. Now hit enter and that line with the song should be highlighted. Right click on it and again you get the pop up menu and the item listed "add to TEST SINGER song. If you click on that you will now have added the second song to TEST SINGER in your singers list.

I have given you a step by step way of doing this because from your various posts it seems you may be skipping one or more of these steps. Give it one more try following each step exactly. If it doesn't work and you did each step then there is definitely a problem in your program somewhere. I had a friend of mine that had stated the same problem as yours and he was missing one of the steps. Now he is able to add the singers the way we have been talking about.

Good luck and let me know how you make out.
