I can confirm your findings with the above.
I was about to answer your other question with the quarantine folder but you must have deleted it 
But basically if your music was on an external then it should build a quarantine folder on the external so if your external is drive E it would be E\MTU\Hoster\Quarantine If as I thought you said it filled up your C drive are you sure you were not importing duplicated files from your C\Drive ?
