I thought I had reversed the source / TV plug ins for my Hdmi Adaptor lol... it is the resolution values of your monitors may be set too low, or the extended screen is set as default, as Roy has suggested... use the recommended resolutions for monitor, and TV/Flatscreen as the windows version suggests, and making laptop default screen, and extending should get them reversed again...

I have noticed that at times some screens will only accept resolutions that are exactly the same as the other attached screen, and then again, will only accept resolutions within their own limits, confusing, I know.
