One other thing you might want to check, new in 5.09, when you start Hoster it should automatically set your power setting to Hoster's own, if you click the power icon on the taskbar you should get a pop up window showing "select a power plan" which if Hoster is not in use will show it using your old power settings but as soon as you start Hoster should change to "MTU Hoster" closing Hoster should return this setting to your old existing setting.
If that is not happening check your Hoster Tools/options at the bottom is a checkbox "Use the MTU power scheme (Recommended)" if that is not ticked that may be why you are experiencing problems.

The one other point, are you using a USB mixer ?

If so try running it without the usb connection, run a lead from your headphone/speaker out to the mixer and see if that solves it.
If it does then the problem is related to that and seems to be a latency problem as Bryant might chime in about

You could also check out your playback settings, by opening Hoster/Tools/Audio settings press the black manage audio cards button select the sound card your using for playback press advanced tab. What bitrate settings are you showing ? set it to 16 bit 44100hz cd quality and untick the 2 exclusive mode boxes press apply and OK.
Now select enhancement tab and select disable all sound effects.
If you have a tab for Dolby open that and untick any boxes there press apply and OK.
Now see if the problems persist.
