I thought I was going to have to upgrade to a faster computer. I've been using the Dell Vostro 1500 for years. It's Core 2 Duo 1.6ghz with Nvidia Geforce 8400m GS. and 2.5gb of RAM.
Long story short, today I thought I'd see what the tempo change feature was like. Well, guess what. My audio dropout went away when I enabled it.
Anybody have an idea why??

It has a lot to do with "Latency", which is the delay time between when a computer reads an audio file and the time it is actually heard. Many things going on in the computer increase or decrease latency, including all the drivers in the computer. Dell is notorious to the point where some DJ's consider them useless for "complete" DJ'ing.
