I have tested this with up to 4 Plextor CD-R drives and it has worked perfect. On my computer, I have a 60GB Maxtor Hard drive split into C:\ and D:\ drives. Then I have a 120GB Western Digital Drive that is Drive E:\. My drive F:\ is a Plextor 1610TA and my G:\ drive is a Plextor 4012TA. I then also have drive H:\ and L:\ mapped to Network drives. So this shows the software does work with more than 4 drives for a fact. My operating system is Windows 2000, but this has also been tested under Windows XP Professional.

Adaptec does have drivers for Windows 98SE and ME that are there 4.7.1.2 version. Please update to these drivers from their website. Here is the link to the 98SE and ME drivers (It is the same):

The Problem with your drives (HP9300 is the only one you have that will) not showing up is that the ASPI drivers aren't working correctly on your system. Please make sure that you made the change to use the Adaptec drivers in Microstudio. If you didn't do this, then there is no way the drives will show. This is the change located at the bottom of
Solution #2, but I am going to post it below.
Once the update has been verified. Open Microstudio. Click on the Drives menu at the top. Click on ASPI Drivers. Change this to Use the default driver. Click OK. Close Microstudio, then Reopen Microstudio. The drives should now show.
