One last stab at this, it may be something in your registry which when you uninstall does not get removed.
So un-instal again. Then open your C\MTU folder this time if the Hoster folder is still there delete it.

Then not sure if this will be the same in Windows 8 but follow these instructions to delete the registry keys: http://www.mtu.com/faq-test.php?article=26

On the first bit where it states Start click Run instead of that just type regedit.exe in the search box then from the results click it to start it.

Then re boot computer, then re-install.

This should then be as if you never had Hoster on this computer before so if as you say it installed correctly before then I see no reason why it shouldn't again.
