If your taskbar shows the speaker icon you right click on the icon and select playback device, else go to control panel/sound.
make sure Playback tab is selected.
If you are using an external sound card then you will have to have it connected first then click on it and select to make default device. If it is not displayed right click in the empty area of the dialog and tick the boxes to always show the other items.

When you open Hoster go to the Tools/Audio Controls make sure the window for the playlist card is set to your external if not use the drop down to select it then select the onboard for the search then OK.

If you make any changes using the windows audio setup it may not take proper effect untill you close Hoster and re-open.
