In the meantime try this: Uninstall Hoster first, then from the Windows start in the search field at the bottom type "regedit.exe" without the quote marks, you should see it appear in the results window, click on it to start it. then follow the instructions hear from item 3 onwards (as windows 7 is slightly different):
http://www.mtu.com/kb/kb/index.php?a...id=26&relid=10
If you get to item 6 and don't see any of the items then that will mean they were removed with the uninstall but if they show complete them, this will remove any settings that may be corrupted and make your computer as if it had not had Hoster on it before so you will lose all previous settings.
Next look in your C drive and see if you still have a folder named MTU there, if you do open that and see if you have a folder named Hoster, if these are not present then that is because they were removed with the uninstal but if the Hoster folder is still there rename it to something like Hoster 2 this will act as a backup.
Now try re-installing Hoster and let us know if you have any luck.

Regarding legal downloads. This is a very debatable point at the moment but it seems the USA laws are different to the rest of the world on this and most sites in the US are only legal for Home use and not for commercial use. I will ask others answer you on this point.
