Given the problems you list in Post #1, I'd say YES, uninstall all and then re-install 5.07. What you list is definitely not normal.
Also, 280,000 CDG songs? Really? I'll warn you that a new organization is coming on the scene that WILL go after show hosts who are using bootleg songs. Unless you paid in the range of $200,000 for your songs, I highly suspect you may not be able to prove legal ownership of what you are using. That's all I'll say about that. Consider yourself warned.
I'm not surprised you have 95,000 indexed out of 280,000 because there are only around 100,000 - 150,000 CDG songs in existence.
Now, as Roy stated, if you have songs with the same song identification data (Title, Artist, Brand, DiscID, Track#), when Hoster indexes the first one in the songs.mdb, any that follow are considered duplicates. For example, if you bought ALL the Sound Choice discs, you may have as many as 10 copies of some songs. Only the first will index. I'm not expert on what exactly we use, but dupes from the same Brand (Mfgr) are culled out and not indexed.
