With the recent update to 5.07 I am having issues. The first issue is when I click on search the locate the song, Hoster locates the song. Upon pushing play, Hoster freezes then closes. I have been through all of the changes that are required my Hoster. On 5.06 install, I lost all of my database and had to reinstall them. Upon updating to 5.07, I had to rebuild my database and still I am missing numerous songs. i have over 280,000 KMA, CDG files yet my Hoster only shows I have 95,000 songs. I have been through the tutorials and have made all the current changes to windows yet upon playing a song Hoster crashes and I have to do a complete re-install. Also when trying to remove silence, Hoster crashes. How do I fix these problems?
Thank you,

It sounds like your problems started with 5.06 with the files missing problem.
When you install an update, if your song files are on an external drive then that drive must be connected as you install the update else it will lose the file paths to your songs.
So my first question is was the K:/Drive connected when you first installed the 5.06 version and when upgrading to 5.07 ?
Another question, why is the external "K" do you have lots of other devices connected ?
The songs missing issue is probably due to the file paths missing in the Build Songs Database list of folders. These folders can either be added individually or use the "Add Folders/Sub-folders button".
I would think if you select the "Add Folders/Sub-folders button" with none of the song Types highlighted and select your K:/Drive as that is top of the tree order, it should search the whole drive for KMA & KMH files that are already on that drive putting them all in the database as it finds them.
One problem that may occur here as you say you have 280,000 files, if it finds duplicate disc id it will not load them and with that many files this could easily happen.
If after trying the above your files are still missing and Hoster crashing use the rebuild database button. Also look in the merge duplicates feature and check in the file "C:/MTU/Hoster/MergeSongDBLog.txt" file which will give you a list of duplicated DiscIDs.
Another problem that has probably occurred here is that when install this version it creates a "HosterPrior" Icon on your desktop that is a preserved version you had before installing 5.07 so that you could revert back to this without re-installing if you had a problem along with the normal icon for Hoster 5.07. Now if you re-installed this version then it would have made the Prior version as just another 5.07 copy stopping you being able to revert back instantly.
Why it is closing as you press play I don't know but it may be your database is screwed so causing problems.
If after checking the database as above you are still having problems then
as a suggestion to get things back to how they were before these problems started, try System restore to the time before installing 5.06.
Get your previous good version running correct then install 5.07 which as I stated above will give you 2 executable versions, a 5.07 and whatever version you were previously using. Then don't try re-installing over that until you get both operating correct.
