First of you have to have a second sound card attached, I have a sound blaster usb card. After attaching the card open Hoster/tools/Audio Control, in the dialog is a playlist audio card showing should be your standard windows card, under that is a search audio card selection, you select the 2nd audio card here and press OK.

After doing the above when you open the search dialog you should see another volume slider and play button appear, if you have a pair of headphones plugged into your 2nd audio card you should be able to hear the selected song in the search dialog playing using these controls. Be prepared to wait a short while as it does not utilize the RS and you have to wait for the silent intro part to pass before you hear anything.
