Might be worth re-checking your basic K-Lite settings before tweaking with Gspot.
If your version of K-lite is anything like mine find this setting: Start/All Programes/K-Lite Codec Pac/Configuration/Reset to recommended settings. This takes us back to a level playing field to work from.
Now open the configuration settings again and choose Haali Media splitter, click the options Tab then the + for the input, select "Try to open linked files" in the bottom window where it shows value select "No" then press OK. This particular setting helps with opening .vob files faster.
Lastly set your gspot to Kens latest settings.

Let us know if this has made any improvments.
