Then I treat it like a dual display, desk top on my laptop and extend the desktop to the other monitor/flat panel displays and put the singers display there.

Total cost I paid last year for splitter and 3 cables (1 25ft and 2 50ft), about $240 (VGA cables are expensive). They are bound to be more expensive now.

Hope this helps.

i'm not sure if that is right, i believed and also from what i read that video splitters only mirrored the same image as the main monitor, are you sure you do't have an adapter ? what you're saying might work on a laptop , since laptops has its own screen, and a seperate vga out, i have a desktop with 1 vga out.( 1 of the desktops i rebuilt/upgraded ).as of now i can have the dual display, but i cant play a music video on the extended screen, i am getting an out of sync problem, i don't have a problem playing music video on the main monitor it plays fine.. , reading from the manufacturers manual, i might not have the right video adapter, since it only supports lower resolution.. what i was asking was once i connect the video adapter ( that supports high res. ) that i ordered to the video splitter will i be able to have an extended display ?, btw both video adapter and splitter will be usb powered..if what youre saying work i will try using the splitter on my laptops..adapter and splitter cost me $70.00
