I don't think the problem is anything to do with your graphics card.
1:Can you play other videos on the extended monitor OK ?
2: Did these play in other Hoster versions on the extended monitor?
3: Did you just copy the .Vob file from the DVD to your hard drive ?
4: Do they take a time to initiate before play or loading ?
Most vob files from DVD contain other data other than video & audio, to do with the startup menu and navigation within the DVD itself which can cause problems, some vob files contain more than a single song track.
The best way to get tracks from DVD is to use a DVD ripping software which seperates all the info from the tracks and create various formats of your choice like AVI, Mpeg or a # of others, I now prefer MP4 myself.

So I think if you answered yes to my #3 question then this is the main problem.
