Dale,
I have two other programs that have tempo and they work fine. Now in fairness to MTU the programs I have work great but they don't have many of the features that Hoster has. If it wasn't for the remove silence I would not be using Hoster anymore. MTU seems to base there features on a popularity contest, i.e. the voting for features. I think the world of them but they do dangle that carrot I believe to keep some the waivering supporters on board. That get old after a while. I for one do not use many of the features that Hoster has. I don't run an audience monitor so I am not worried about the snd feature that seems to worry many in terms of being able to highlight the next song to play. I am not interested in runnign videos. I am interested in running a karaoke show and I don't need video backrounds. I understand that some karaoke songs are now dvde and video is just the lyrics. Admin just annouced that there are features that will have to be disabled in order to run tempo. I don't see tempo being offered for quite sometime and presently it looks like it is going to be a sacrifice for some if we get it. If definitely is going to be a case where we will be paying for and upgrade to get this feature after many have paid several upgrades while waiting. Please don't pacify us by saying that it won't be released until it is right. Many release of Hoster have been released before it was right that's why all the many bug issues. I feel the frustration that this user is feeling. I don't mean to put MTU down. I am located in North Central Florida and I have only come across a couple of people that use Hoster. One was just a couple of nights ago and he admitted that he doesn't use many of the features that are presently offered in Hoster and he also admitted that he doesn't khnow how to use them and isn't interested in them anyway. He just wants to run a basic karaoke show with a program that is pretty reliable. If I was interesed in video backrounds and such, I would still be using laser disks and vcd disk. You know that MTU has releaed programs that weren't working properly. I am not saying this was done on purpose, just responding to your statement. I know I am probably not winning any points here but felt that I had to respond to this post. By the way, I have had request to speed up or slow down songs. Not a tremendous amount of request but some. I use to tell my singers it was being worked on and was coming. Now I tell them I don't if it will ever be available with this program. If all the songs out there were at the proper tempo or people didn't want to change the original tempo there wouldn't be a need for tempo. If it wasn't a desired feature why are so many offering it now? Even some harware machines are offering it.
