Reason I ask is to help MTU narrow down where to look.
I am thinking these may be over-looked bugs and if so then MTU should be able to duplicate and correct.
When you are trying to prevue a song in search, are you playing any songs in the playlist? Your system, being a laptop and with only 3GB memory, may not be able to handle both sound card outputs.
I did some more testing on this issue and have noticed that the duplication only appears in the import window when include sub folders is checked. Whole folders appear to be duplicated and even triplicated - very strange. When you do a batch import the message warns that you are about to import xxx songs into the database. The xxx number is an accurate reflection of the number of songs shown in the import window including all the duplicates listed.

But here is the thing. After I run the import I then do a database rebuild and the total count of tracks in the library is CORRECT. If I do a database seach on all video tracks I get the correct count and no KMH files are duplicated.

So the end result is that although it appears that duplicates are about to be imported they infact are not.

Hope this helps to identify and correct this issue. I think it may be related to the building of the list of songs for video type files in the import window when include sub folders is checked.
