When you say multi tasking do you mean you have other programs running or are you referring to playing mp3 through the Hoster Background Audio player (BA) or from the normal playlist ?

Also are these mp3 files on an external disc ?

I ask this second question because if I play my background mp3 files from an external drive I always seem to get a hic up in the music track about 2-5 seconds in from the start of the playing song, Always have ever since this feature was introduced, the rest of the song plays OK. I have mentioned this before but I found that if I load my BA tracks to my C/ drive the problem goes away.
I have tried this with various external hard hard drives and they all exhibit the same problem.
As I have never herd anyone else mention this I have just kept to loading my BA tracks to my C/ drive.
