Ken, you cannot clear the list after you save it except by opening a New list. If you delete all the entries, then those entries will be removed from the list you saved. Hoster saves each action as soon as you do it.
Create you list, do the Save As, then open by using New. That will clear the playlist. Then you can Open the playlist you saved.
