This is an iffy thing for many of us. If you have a hi-speed system with a lot of ram and a video card with a larger memory then it usually is not a problem. If it is a slower system with minimum memory and a video card with average memory, then no it can't. Laptops are the worst because their video cards use shared memory. In other words they are taking away from system memory to run the video.
